Writing a book is an incredible journey.

It's exciting, overwhelming, rewarding, and sometimes a little lonely.

At My Little Funny Farm, we believe every community is filled with people carrying stories worth preserving. Whether you're writing your very first children's book, recording your family's history, creating a local history project, or finally putting years of ideas onto paper, every journey begins with believing your story matters.

Every author's journey teaches something new. As My Little Funny Farm continues to grow, we'll keep sharing what we've learned so the path becomes a little easier for the next person.

I don't claim to have all the answers, and I certainly don't pretend to know everything about publishing.

But if sharing what I've learned helps another local author take their next step with a little more confidence, then every lesson I've learned has been worthwhile.

Because none of us grows alone.

Walking the Journey Together

Publishing your first book can feel overwhelming.

There are countless decisions to make, lessons to learn, mistakes to overcome, and moments where you wonder if you should keep going.

Sometimes what helps most isn't finding someone with all the answers.

It's finding someone who simply understands the journey.

If our experiences can help another author avoid a few wrong turns, then sharing them is a privilege.

The excitement of holding a first proof.

The countless lessons that no instruction manual ever mentions.

One of my greatest hopes is to see local authors encourage one another, celebrate milestones together, exchange ideas, and continue building a community where creativity is celebrated instead of treated as a competition.

At My Little Funny Farm, we believe communities become stronger when local creators are encouraged to share their gifts.
